The endless cycle of love and hate

 My mother in law died this week.  It was a the best thing for her - 2 1/2 days in the hospital and she was gone.  This, of course, has put my spouse into a bit of a spin.  And, of course, in her usual way she's been telling me how to act and how I need to not speak about our daughter or about anything really, to her MAGA loving cousins who've decided to attend because 'family is family'.... unless they're queer.
